Godly Play™ Training Opportunities
The Godly Play Foundation in Seattle, Washington currently offers training and support for every level of involvement with Godly Play. Whether you are simply curious and want to investigate Godly Play as an option for your community or you are ready to become fluent in the "art of Godly Play" or you are an experienced Godly Play practicioner wanting to go deeper, there is a training option for you. They are the fruit of much prayer, practice, reflection, and research. We offer this program of continuing education with the expectation that it will be as innovative and deep for adults as Godly Play is for children.
Godly Play is learned from the inside out. The best way to learn about Godly Play is to expeience Godly Play. The goal of each type of training is to present Godly Play to adult learners in the same spirit that the language of the Christian People is presented to children.
Our Godly Play practice can always be enriched. Such enrichmment is for strengthening community, spiritual development, and honing the skills of the art.
Local Workshops and Teacher Training
These workshops are presented locally by accredited Godly Play Trainers. Their length, content, and structure vary from one-day workshops on a specific topic to 3-day immersion trainings. There is a range of workshop offerings for all levels of interest.
Retreats and Enrichment Events
These retreats offer a way of refreshment and renewal. We know that Godly Play is not just for children. These retreats are designed for strengthening community and spiritual development. The richer our spiritual practice the richer our Godly Play programs.
Private Consultations
Our Godly Play trainers are available to come to your church to provide support and/or specific training.
